Death before Dishonor III was a professional wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on June 18, 2005 in Morristown, New Jersey. The main event saw CM Punk, in what was to be his final match for Ring of Honor, challenge Austin Aries for the ROH World Championship. Throughout the DVD release, several clips are shown highlighting Punk’s career in ROH.

- Backstage, Colt Cabana hosts Good Times, Great Memories with his special guest CM Punk, but Punk didn’t appear. Cabana then promised to have Punk on the show before the evening was over.
- BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs defeated The Embassy (Jimmy Rave & Fast Eddie w/Prince Nana & Jade Chung) to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship
- Whitmer pinned Rave after a Doomsday Rana.
- After the match, Nana began yelling at Chung, blaming her for the loss.
- Dark match: Lacey defeated Cindy Rogers
- The Carnage Crew (HC Loc & Tony DeVito) defeated the Ring Crew Express (Dunn & Marcos) in an "Anything" Goes match
- Samoa Joe defeated Colt Cabana to retain the ROH Pure Championship
- Joe forced Cabana to submit to a cross armbreaker.
- The Embassy came out for their match against AJ Styles, but was interrupted by Allison Danger, who announced Christopher Daniels was returning to Ring of Honor. Prince Nana then announced Styles’ opponent for the evening, Petey Williams.
- AJ Styles defeated Petey Williams (w/The Embassy)
- Styles pinned Williams with a Styles Clash.
- After the match, Prince Nana ordered Jade Chung to slap Styles, but Styles threatened to kill her if she did. Styles then tried to attack Nana, but Jade gave him a low blow, allowing Jimmy Rave to run in and give him a Rave Clash, followed by Williams giving him a Canadian Destroyer.
- Colt Cabana tries to host Good Times, Great Memories, this time from the bleachers in the arena, but CM Punk again failed to show.
- Lacey's Angels (Izzy & Deranged w/Lacey) defeated Generation Next (Roderick Strong & Jack Evans)
- Nigel McGuinness defeated Azrieal, Homicide and James Gibson in a Four Corner Survival match
- McGuinness pinned Gibson after a Tower of London.
- Jay Lethal vs. Low Ki (w/Julius Smokes) ended in a no contest
- The match was stopped after Smokes attacked Lethal after he gave Low Ki a Dragon Suplex.
- CM Punk defeated Austin Aries to win the ROH World Championship
- Punk pinned Aries after a Pepsi Plunge.
- After the match, Aries presented Punk with the ROH World Championship. Punk gave a speech, proclaiming the ROH World Championship the most important belt in the world. He then turned heel, saying he was better than all the fans and other wrestlers, and was taking the belt with him to World Wrestling Entertainment because no one could stop him. Christopher Daniels ran in through the crowd and got into a brawl with Punk. After Daniels began to get the upper hand, Punk bailed out of the ring and fled the arena with the championship belt. Daniels then cut a promo explaining why he left Ring of Honor in 2004, but how he continued to follow the promotion, and how all the new stars such as Austin Aries, Jimmy Rave and Jay Lethal now have to deal with him.
- Backstage after the show, Jack Evans told Roderick Strong that since he was the reason they lost the match that night, he need time off to get his head right.
- Colt Cabana tries to host Good Times, Great Memories in order to ask CM Punk about his actions, but Punk failed to show up for the third time.
